Grundtvig Funding for EU citizens
The Modern Institute is pleased to announce that our TESOL Certificate courses are now registered with the Grundtvig-Comenius program, allowing EU citizens to apply for full funding of their participation on the course.
How to Apply for Grundtvig Funding:
For your convenience we have the detailed instructions from the EU available here (word .doc); please be advised we cannot guarantee that this document is current.
Here are the steps you need to go through to obtain funding for this course through the Grundtvig / Comenius / Lifelong Learning program:
- Contact your own National Agency to obtain a grant application form and to check the deadline for submitting your application. National Agency contact details can be found at this link. Be aware that the application and approval process can take up to three months, so you will need to begin this process well in advance of the course.
- Contact us to be sure that a place is still available for the course dates you are interested in. We will send you confirmation of availability, which you will need when applying to Grundtvig.
- Find our course in the Comenius-Grundtvig Training Database. Our reference number is BG-2009-008-003.
- Send your grant application form to your National Agency. When you are applying for your funding, these are the elements you should include:
- Course fee (€1200)
- Accommodation in Sofia (one month €300 for shared apartment)
- Transport to and from Bulgaria (varies depending on your home country)
- Meals and incidental expenses (if allowed by your National Agency)
- Your National Agency will inform you if you have been awarded a grant.
- Inform us as soon as you know your funding has been approved. At this point you will need to begin the application process with us.
We are not experts on the intricacies of European Union bureaucracy, but let us know if you would like additional assistance or advice from us on this procedure, and we will do what we can.
