VIEW PROGRESS REPORT HERE

We are pleased to announce that funding has been secured from the Bulgaria Fund to provide this world class training opportunity to English teachers within Bulgaria from vulnerable groups (Roma and other disadvantaged ethnic / religious minorities) and English teachers working in underserved communities or with vulnerable groups.

The QuiLT (Qualification in Language Teaching) course is designed by the SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont, which is the accredited higher education institute of World Learning. Certificates for successful participants are issued by World Learning SIT Graduate Institute.

The QuiLT is an in-service teacher training course. Participants on the course will be introduced to the principles of communicative methodology and student-centered teaching, and have the opportunity to put these ideas into practice during observed practice teaching sessions, as well as in their own classrooms through a series of "experiments" that act as a link between the course input and the teachers' real world teaching context. Participants will deepen their abilities to plan, teach, and evaluate lessons in an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classroom.

Participants selected for the course receive a full scholarship that includes course tuition and all materials, travel allowance to Sofia, and accommodation and meal allowance while in Sofia.
